Poppy set

 Last days a little set appeared again.. the motive is really spring, because there you can find poppies. The set includes a tea box, a heart and a bookmark. Colours I have used are one of my favourite so working on it was a great pleasure. As I mentioned in one of the previous posts I have been trying some new techniques. And now I am going to present the next one so in this set you can observe usage of a gaze. All beige surfaces are based on a gaze other is pained by a wood stain with varnish. Inside the box under the top there are poppies as well just I forgot to make pictures before the set finally left my home.

 

In the below picture is a little bit better seen my using of a gaze. In reality the surface is very characteristic like it would be a cross stitch pattern on a textile done. So the set finally look like would be given by grandma. To make it more old looking I used very delicate a liquid patina at all borders of a set.
